Weddings. They can evoke a lot of different emotions, both in real life and online as well.
On August 12th 2017, I was given the privilege of being the officiant for the wedding between Sno and Douglas McCleod.
The venue was amazing! Designed by Kamira Sirnah, I was in awe of the beautiful setting. Stone pillars, beautiful purple valances, even lovely floating flowers and a reflective floor. The work she put into the area for the occasion was exceptional to say the least.
Kamira also served as Sno's maid of honour, along with the other bridesmaids. These included Lynnestra Parker, Darlin Sweetlover, Kimmy Brandywine, and Nova Dream64. Their gowns of soft purple fit in perfectly with the brides choice of colours for the event, and they all looked so lovely.
The best man was Jackson Lombardia, who was there to support the lucky groom. The groomsmen looked dashing as they escorted the bridesmaids to their positions for the wedding. The groomsmen included Ray noob, Shawnesy Ettenmor, Kotu Saphire, Rex Espiento, and Maldurl Smith.
As everyone gathered together to bear witness to the blessed event, we all watched as Will Renfold proudly walked the beautiful bride down the asile to meet her future husband.
I myself wrote the ceremony and included some wise words, and a gift of a rose for them to remember this day. Also encouragement to plant roses wherever they live, and a reminder if they ever have times of hurt or doubt, to visit that area and remind themselves of this day, and the vows they chose to say to each other.
The vows that they wrote were beautiful, and touched the hearts of all in attendance. I am certain there were a few misty eyes in the crowd as they listened to them declare openly their love for one another.
Throughout the event, Roffellos Kisses was present to provide them with absolutely wonderful pictures of their happy day.
I was so very pleased when I was able to utter the words "by the power vested in me, I pronounce you man and wife, Douglas you may kiss your bride."
After a short gathering we moved on to the reception area.
This dance area was designed and built by Douglas himself and was a wonderful looking dance area, complete with a stocked bar, champagne as well as cake and other amenities.
As DJ, Darlin Sweetlover played very lovely tunes for us all to dance.
The feeling of the night was one of happiness and contentment in watching the newly wed couple dance and enjoy the time with thier friends and family.
I have done many weddings before on other grids, but I must say that this one will forever be remembered in my heart and mind.
The gathering of so many people to watch such long time friends unite in love and commitment was such a wonderful event.
To Sno and Douglas, I wish you love and happiness and a long life together. You are an amazing couple, who showed us all how much love can achieve. Blessings
And blessings to all who helped to make their day the most special one in their lives so far.
