by Lynnestra Parker As the weather gets colder you may dream of a tropical setting to feel warm and perhaps get a nice tan. The Palms and The Palms 2 is a great place to warm up in the colder months to come.
Built by Colin Collison, resident of GCG since 2015, The Palms and The Palms 2 is a tropical paradise. On The Palms you will find nice houses that are open to use. There is also an abundance of colorful tropical birds, plants and the cutest little puppies. The pathways guide your exploration but I do suggest leaving the path once in a while for some hidden wonders. On the southeast corner of The Palms you will find a bar on the waterfront with outdoor seating and an absolutely wonderful view of the ocean. A lot of items are free to copy on both regions and Colin suggest people take advantage and copy what they can. Walk across the expansive bridge to The Palms 2 and dance in Club Insomnia or visit the art gallery. Outside of the club is a free dance HUD. Be sure to take a copy. Inside the club you will find a bar and plenty of tables to sit and rest from all that dancing on the nice sized dance floor. If you find you drank a little too much in the club, you can get some fresh air outside the club and drink coffee at the coffee shop. The art gallery is impressive with it's many types of art. Do you like colorful art? Maybe black and white? Asian? Aussie? You can find so much beautiful art here. The art is free to buy or take a copy. there is a water fountain that I fell in love with and yes I took a copy of it. The Palms and The Palms 2 are both well worth a visit. Be warned, once you visit you will go back again and again. It is a great build from down under. Rockin' Roller rollerskating rink has just been updated!! We wanted to clean up the region and save on prims. We will be having parties again soon, please come by and pick up free full perm rollerskates and AO!

We would love to hear on what projects you are working.
If you would like our team of writers to feature your projects and venues, please submit on a note card, letting us know what you would like us to feature! Please share with our GCG community, let the other residents embrace your ideas! We can prepare a feature with a few questions to you, we can take some photos, we can promote your ideas and efforts. Many times when working on a project we come to a roadblock, either it be a script you need or some other resource. By inviting others to learn about your projects, you open up more possibilities and ideas for your projects! We hear the "world chat channels" regularly, lit up looking for a range of things. You may want to keep your ideas and projects secret, perhaps you don't want others to "imitate" you too early, you would like to open first then share your news, we will help with that! That is okay too, we understand that. We only ask if it is something you can share then please do, we love to hear about it! Note-card us at our GCG SUN mailbox, GCG Communications (205, 70, 30) or email to: m.monentes@gmail.com This Meet & Greet is a great way to meet your neighbours and talk about issues related to the Great Canadian Grid.
