To build a float, you first begin with a prim 8.5 Meters long, and about 3.5 Meters wide.
Then, once you have the base for you float, you decide what you want to create. Since the Canada Day Parade will be in the theme of Canada, you could start by texturing your base with Canadian colors, Red and White.
This is a float from our St. Patrick's Day parade
There are endless possibilities for creating floats, just do a bit of research on all things Canadian to get some ideas, when you get your parade float completed, please IM Marianna Monentes inworld to give your float name and details so that you can be announced properly at the parade.
Remember, the parade is June 30th Noon GCG time, this gives you plenty of time to build those floats and have them ready in time. It is fine to use cars to tow your floats. This parade we are just going to go for it, and see how we do with lag. So, yes attach the floats to your cars, and practice towing. Keep in mind the parade is not a race, the idea is to let the spectators view your float as you go by.
If you need any help at all please feel free to IM inworld.
