"It was awesome" is the best I can do to describe what I experienced! So many nice people, and all of us having a blast. The well thought out tunes spinning from Dj Roddie, and the room was ablaze with activity and camarderie. The sploder going, of which I probably instigated the first round. While dancing, and meeting one's I hadn't yet met, I circled the room and took photo's to capture the true essence of GCG fun!
Song's I hadn't heard in a long time, and then a surprise for me! Dj Roddie told the guys to get on the dance pole and show the girls what they had. I laughed until I saw it was a real thing. Then I watched as only one brave soul ascended to a lone pole above us. Lights flashing and music blaring, this was almost surreal if not for the comic factor of the scene.
I passed the southern fried chicken around as others passed a joint, we had a good laugh and there was plenty to keep your attention. GCG isn't just a place to live, but a great place to come and just relax and have fun. I dare say I did have a lot of fun and was absolutely impressed by the manner in which everyone treated one another.
I'll be back next Monday night too and all others that follow if I can at all possibly make it. It is simply too much fun to miss and you feel like a million afterwards. There's no place like home and this proves it! I would like to thank everyone for making my first Monday night dance a huge success! See you next Monday night!
