When I was asked to write for Roddie Macchi's GCG Sun by Sunbeam Magic two years ago, my future was unseen, I never saw coming the most amazing virtual life imaginable.
One of the Sun Team members was Reyn Softly, already working as a Roving Reporter, and he, as well as the rest of the Team, welcomed me with open arms.
Soon after I joined, Sunbeam Magic asked if I would take on the publisher's role at the magazine. The responsibilities of the new role would mean that my jewelry store would then take a "back seat" so that I could head up the Great Canadian Grid's official magazine. There was never a question as to what my decision would be. I took on the role, put my best foot forward and took on the most wonderful challenge of my virtual life.
Over the years, as Reyn and I worked side by side, we respected each others boundaries and never saw the other as a love attraction. With Reyn's help we redesigned the magazine's layout and art, updating it to be more reflective of the grid we love.
We worked together on so many articles and ideas, and grew close, yet again, there was no love attraction, our focus was that of producing the best magazine we could.
This professional line was redrawn at a Monday Night gig, March 19th, 2018, when Reyn sweetly asked me to dance. The moment I stepped over and took him by the arms, everything changed for us, all our "respect team" walls, about each other, came crashing down, and I instantly felt his love. We became inseparable, and by May we both realized there was no turning back, we were both completely in love.
Reyn asked me to be his partner and we eloped yesterday.
We will still be bringing you the great news you have come to expect, after all, GCG is our first love. I will always be thanking my lucky stars, Roddie Macchi, and Sunbeam Magic for giving me the opportunity of my virtual life, but mostly Reyn Softly for loving me unconditionally and trusting me to be his partner; of course, I will be your partner Reyn Softly.
'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I’ll give my all to you
You’re my end and my beginning...
